The earlier the team is engaged the more data analysis and data profiling that can be done however less detail is available to complete a detailed strategy and plan. If management require a Data Migration Strategy early then the content outlined below should be omitted. The necessary detail can be added in a later version. The Data Analysis and Data Migration Strategy are dependent on each other to complete. The strategy will determine what data should be analysed and the Data Analysis will determine which systems are the best source (ie the source of truth) for the migration so will drive the strategy's scope.
